Program Description

Event Details

All monthlong in April, the Brownstone Quilters Guild will be displaying some of their fantastic quilts in two of the library display cases. Come check them out!

The Brownstone Quilters Guild was founded in 1983 by Marianne Loughlin, then a resident of Waldwick, NJ. She posted fliers in a nearby fabric store inviting other quilters to attend an initial meeting. Their name was chosen to honor the typical Dutch brownstone homes of the Hudson Valley.

The object of this Guild is to enable the sharing of information and expertise about quilting amongst its members and community; to educate its members and the community through workshops, lectures, discussions, and shows; to further interest in quilting in the quilting community; to exhibit to the community quilting's place in and contribution to the culture and history of New Jersey.
