Program Description

Event Details

The Great Depression began with the stock market crash of 1929 and lasted for more than 10 years.  Unemployment was above 15% throughout the 1930s. Nearly 10,000 banks failed. Topics include the Hoover stimulus measures, FDR’s New Deal programs, the Bank Holiday, gold standard, and financial reforms. This program is both in person in the library and live streaming via Zoom.  Register is necessary on mahwahlibrary.org events calendar to receive the Zoom Link (Don't forget to give us your email address).
