Event Details

Another holiday season is upon us.  Countless people the world over will celebrate it with Champagne, or should we say sparkling wine? OK, let’s clear this one up right from the get-go.  Join food and wine writer Dr. Mark Vogel for a comprehensive guide to buying, storing, and serving Champagne.  Learn about the Champagne region of France and what differentiates it from other sparkling wines.   Dr. Mark R. Vogel is a clinical psychologist, professionally trained chef, food and wine writer, lecturer, and novelist. He did his doctoral training at Yeshiva University, in New York.  In 2003, Dr. Vogel graduated from the Institute of Culinary Education, also in New York.  For ten years he taught cooking classes and edited cookbooks.  For sixteen years, Vogel wrote a food and wine column entitled Food for Thought.  He is the author of Crestwood Lake (2015), The Ripper's Time (2017), Crestwood Lake 2 (2018), and Food for Thought (2020), his 600- page cookbook.  His website is markvogel.info. Registration is necessary.  This program is in-person only!
