This unique class for grades 5 through 8, combines elements of basic robotics with introductory circuitry. LEGO robotics utilizes LEGO weDo 2.0 education via tablets that the students will follow along with in order to build and then code working, moving objects. They will work in small teams of 3-4. The first project will be a glowing snail, which they can code to change colors. The next will be a cooling fan which actually spins, and the last and most complicated is a mars rover that actually moves along the ground or tabletop. Students will be able to code the robots to make them change direction, color, add sound, etc!
Registration is required for this event. Registration opens for Mahwah library cardholders four weeks before the date of the event. If you don't have a card, visit the Library to sign up today. Our neighbors are welcome to register two weeks before the event.
