*FOR MAHWAH CARDHOLDERS ONLY*

The 2024 Total Eclipse is coming, and Mahwah will be in the path of 90% totality on Monday, April 8th! Get ready by picking up a pair of official STAR Net solar eclipse viewing glasses at the library so you and your family can safely watch the event.

You must register to receive solar eclipse glasses. Please register only once per household. Each household may request up to 3 pairs of eclipse glasses. You must specify in the registration notes how many pairs you are requesting. If no number is listed, you will automatically be registered for 1 pair.

Glasses may be picked up any time the library is open from Monday, April 1st through Sunday, April 7th, at either the Adult Reference Desk or Children's Reference Desk. Glasses will not be distributed before this date. Any glasses not picked up by close of business on Sunday, April 7th will be distributed first come-first serve or taken to local schools for distribution to students on Monday, April 8th.

Please note that solar eclipse glasses are reserved for Mahwah Public Library cardholders only. If you live in a town other than Mahwah, please contact your local library for information on their solar eclipse glasses distribution. Any registration not attached to a valid Mahwah Public Library card will be cancelled.
