Event Details
A musical journey celebrating over 100 years of Italian cinema history and the soundtracks that made them famous around the world! From early silent film scores to contemporary hits, musicologist-composer-guitarist and cinema historian John La Barbera will present an extraordinary performance of live music and anecdotes. The concert pays special tribute to composers like: Nio Rota, Ennio Morricone, Nicola Piovani, Henry Mancini, and several others. Selections from the haunting and beautiful themes to great movies like Cinema Paradiso, The Mission, La Strada as well as the signature pieces from The Spaghetti Westerns like "The Good, The Bad and the Ugly" and "A Fistful of Dollars".
Registration is required, priority given to Mahwah residents with a Mahwah Library card. Mahwah residents may register starting 4 weeks prior to the event; non-Mahwah residents may register starting 2 weeks prior to the event.
