Mark Twain once said, “Never let the truth get in the way of a good story." How do you remember the founding of our country?  Joel Farkas will look at “the people” and “the events” from the founding of our country to see if our memory is “the truth" or “a good story". 

In this lecture we’ll look at: THE DUEL: Hamilton vs Burr, THE TRAITOR: Benedict Arnold, THE POEM: Paul Revere’s Ride, THE PAINTING: Washington Crossing The Delaware, THE SONG: Yankee Doodle, THE BATTLE: Bunker Hill, THE QUEEN: Marie Antoinette, THE KING: ELVIS PRESLEY- Wait, Elvis Presley…Really?, and MORE .
