Program Description

Event Details

The armies of Lee and Meade met accidentally on July 1st, 2nd and 3rd 1863 in the fields and hills around Gettysburg.  Lee meant to evade or destroy the Union army with his 75,000 men.  Come hear of 15 decisions that doomed the confederates in Pennsylvania…and most likely….lost the war for them.  Bring your own ‘failures’ to discuss during the lively ‘Q & A’'.  Glenn LeBoeuf received his degree in history from Monmouth College in 1976 and taught social studies in New Providence for 2 years.  An avid student of military history, he joined the 3rd N.J.V.I. (civil war re-enactors) in 1989 and participated in such films a s “Glory” and “Gettysburg”.   This program is both in person in the library and live streaming via Zoom.  Register is necessary on mahwahlibrary.org events calendar to receive the Zoom Link (Don't forget to give us your email address).
