Discover the joy of American Mahjong in this fun, beginner-friendly three-session series! Learn the basics of the game, including tiles, rules, and how to read the National Mahjong League card, while building confidence through guided instruction and hands-on play. Classes are led by Erika Palmer, a verified Oh My Mahjong instructor who brings a warm, welcoming approach and a passion for creating community through play.
*Please note: registration commits you to all three classes.*
About Erika
Erika Palmer is a certified health coach, classical Pilates instructor, and founder of Gather Create Nourish. She’s devoted to helping women live with balance, connection, and joy — and believes deeply in the magic that happens when women gather with intention .A verified Oh My Mahjong instructor, Erika fell in love with the game in 2018 after moving back to New Jersey, where her mom promptly informed her that mahjong was not optional. Her mom has been playing since the ’70s, and what began as a family tradition is now part of Erika’s mission to bring community, play, and mindful connection back into women’s lives. Whether through movement, mindful living, or meaningful gatherings, Erika supports women in nourishing their bodies, minds, and spirits — together.
Erika is also the league leader of The Mahjong League of New Jersey which will launch its first season this January.
