Jonathan Kruk's "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow" is a dramatic retelling of Washington Irving's Fall classic.
Enthralling thousands in the Hudson Valley for years, Jonathan’s renowned for performing the tale of a headless goblin chasing the persnickety schoolmaster, Ichabod Crane. Staying close to the original story and highlighting Washington Irving’s mystery and wit, Kruk gives voice to every character. There are leaping ghostly jumpstarts and a rollicking musical headless horseman chase.
Jonathan has performed “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow” in Salem churches, at The Thomaston Opera House and Bradley Playhouse in Connecticut, The Cultural Center Opera House Havre de Grace, Maryland, the Appalachian Storyteller Theater in Nashville, Historic Richmondtown, NYC U.S.M.A, West Point, and at countless schools, libraries, and corporate events.
Kruk has been featured on The Today Show, CBS Sunday Morning, The Travel Channel, and the BBC. He's the storyteller in residence for the Archdiocese of New York Schools. Jonathan's returning to the Mahwah Library after performing "A Christmas Carol" in 2024.
