Ed Alstrom just finished his 20th season as the Weekend Organist at Yankee Stadium. In this presentation, he will talk about that job, demonstrate how it gets done, and tell stories about his experiences at the Stadium.

Ed has had a rich and extremely diverse musical career. He is currently the Music Director/Organist at Central Presbyterian Church in Montclair, and Accompanist/Choir Director at Temple Ner Tamid in Bloomfield. Ed is a graduate of Westminster Choir College. He continues to play all kinds of music on all kinds of gigs in the NJ/NY area.  Ed has performed with Bette Midler, Chuck Berry, Leonard Bernstein, Herbie Hancock, Odetta, Dion, Ronnie Spector, Zubin Mehta, Steely Dan, Blood Sweat and Tears, and many other notables. He has won a Backstage Bistro Award and a MAC Award nomination on the NY Cabaret Circuit. His Broadway experience includes a stint as Associate Conductor on Hairspray, as well as Leader Of The Pack, Smokey Joe’s Café, Taboo, Brooklyn, and Hot Feet; Off-Broadway, he has been Musical Director for Dream A Little Dream (The Mamas & Papas Musical).
