Program Description

Event Details

Celebrate 60 years of popular music as Jay Daniels offers a retrospective of one of the most momentous years in history - 1964. From the beginnings of the British Invasion with the Beatles and the Rolling Stones to the explosion of Motown, this was truly a groundbreaking year for music. Jay will also highlight two popular albums from that year, "It Might as Well Be Swing" featuring Frank Sinatra & Count Basie and one that heralded the arrival of the bossa nova, "Getz-Gilberto" with Stan Getz and João Gilberto.
