Program Description

Event Details

The All Seasons Chamber Players, one of New Jersey's most popular and active chamber music ensembles, will perform a program entitled "Music for All Seasons".  The program will feature music for flute, violin, viola, and cello.  It will include a set of pieces for cello featuring cellist E. Zoe Hassman and works by Beethoven, Corelli, Piazzola and others.  Robert Lawrence, Co-Director for Programs, will introduce each piece to the audience with entertaining spoken instruction.  Performers will include flutist Lisa Hansen of Leonia; violinist Bob Lawrence of NYC; violist Joel Rudin of Princeton and cellist E. Zoe Hassman of NYC.

Now in its 41st season, the All Seasons Chamber Players is a leading chamber music ensemble in the New York - New Jersey metropolitan area. It has performed over 800 live concerts since its inception in 1981. The ensemble performs music from the baroque to contemporary periods in mixed ensembles using flute, violin, cello, harpsichord and piano. The All Seasons repertoire includes new and unusual works as well as those from the standard chamber music repertoire of duets, trios, quartets and four-hand piano works.

This concert is one of the free, public Community Concerts for Bergen County.  This program has been made possible by the Mahwah Public Library; in part by a grant administered by the Bergen County Division of Cultural and Historic Affairs from funds granted by the New Jersey State Council on the Arts; the Frank & Lydia Bergen Foundation; the Lillian P. Schenck Foundation; and members of Friends of All Seasons.
