Program Description

Event Details

Jacqueline McElroy-Poquette brings to the stage the life story of the humorist, Dorothy Parker as told in her own ground-breaking words, and includes songs of the 1920’s through 1950’s.  As the toast of the sophisticated “in crowd”, Mrs. Parker’s celebrity as columnist, critic, author, screenwriter  and reigning Queen of the infamous Algonquin Round Table was recognized nationwide.  Her work and self-deprecating humor was so far ahead of its time that it still rings true today and deserves to be introduced to contemporary audiences.  Let’s Misbehave! Is a musical and spoken word celebration of the wit, wisdom, and wisecracks of Dorothy Parker.
