Celebrate Joyce Kilmer Day with a special event where Joyce Kilmer's poems are brought to life through music. Enjoy the compositions of Mahwah’s own Timothy L. Miller, featuring performances by soprano Valerie Gonzalez, pianist Craig Ketter, and other special guests. Experience the beauty of poetry set to enchanting melodies!

Program of musical settings of Kilmer poems, including:

Trees (for soprano, violin, piano)

The Apartment House (for soprano, clarinet, piano)

Mount Houvenkopf (for soprano, clarinet, piano)

The House With Nobody In It (for soprano, violin, piano)

Poets (for soprano, violin, viola, cello, piano)

Old Poets (for soprano, violin, viola, cello, piano)

And a second setting of Trees for two-part chorus and piano, featuring members of the MHS Chorus.

Registration is required for this event.  Registration opens for Mahwah library cardholders four weeks before the date of the event.  If you don't have a card, visit the Library to sign up today.  Our neighbors are welcome to register two weeks before the event.
